Yes, starting on March 13, 2023, our annual All Access membership price is updated to $199 per pet. This price update will allow us to continue to improve the experience our members already know and love—with services that provide peace of mind in times of need and keep them informed every step of the way. Over the past 12 months, we have been deeply focused on improving appointment availability, ensuring a faster, more reliable Virtual Care experience, and launching phone support that many of our members desired. More specifically:
- We have significantly improved our response times via Chat with Virtual Care
- Launched phone support directly in the Modern Animal app to offer a more synchronized way of communication
- Meaningfully improved appointment availability to within 1-2 weeks and Urgent Care reliability to same or next day for timely needs
- Plus, ongoing improvements to the Modern Animal app to enhance performance, speed, and security
Today, on average, a Modern Animal member visits us every 3-6 months and uses the mobile app at least once a month. We look forward to bringing modern veterinary care to more pet owners by continuing to expand into new neighborhoods in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and later this year, launching in Austin and Dallas.

How the pricing change works:
- All new patients who activated an All Access membership on or after March 13, 2023, will be charged an annual fee of $199/pet.
- Any existing All Access members who activated their membership on or before March 12, 2023, will be offered one additional year (through the next billing cycle) at their original annual price of $129.
- To check your upcoming renewal dates, tap Animals under Account in the Modern Animal app. Make sure you have the latest app version. Please note that membership renewal dates cannot be modified or changed.
- If you wish to cancel your membership, please contact us at [email protected] at least 5 days before your next renewal date and we'll take care of it.
For those who have joined our waitlist prior to March 13, 2023, we’re immensely grateful for your patience. Don't worry, we will honor the original annual price of $129/year for your first year. After that, each renewal will be $199/year. You'll receive an email and SMS with an exclusive promo code when you’re off the waitlist.
